Major changes to the South Application
- Relocation of secondary school from Highsted Village to Oakwood Village and amendments to forms of entry to meet school need
- Retention of Local Wildlife Site and removal of development from prominent areas of High Landscape Value
- Simplification of road network and provision of additional planting and buffering
- Reduction in development within setting of Rodmersham Church
- Reduction in development within setting of the Old Vicarage
- Inclusion of Household Waste Recycling Centre in proposals to enable expansion of the waste transfer station in Sittingbourne
- Redesign and expansion of Country Park Separation of ecological and recreational focus areas within Country Park
- Updates to drainage strategy/SUDS strategy to incorporate surface water flow paths and respond to KCC comments
- Improvements to crossings over SRR, including removal of at grade crossings and replacement with green bridges
- Update to all highways modelling to meet KCC and National Highways reg 25 requests with additional sense testing to be undertaken
- Update to Biodiversity Net Gain calculations to meet Natural England and KCC requests
- Updated planning statement to reflect change in policy position (age of local plan, reg 18 stage etc etc)
- Reduction in housing numbers from 8,000 to 7150 resulting from above
- Increased green buffer areas to Sittingbourne and Bapchild
